Description :
A paradise for fisher-men.
There are numerous possibilities for fishing around Peisey-Vallandry, including the Lac de la Plagne, a mountain lake, on the outskirts of the Vanoise, the 15 km of the river Ponthurin below, various mountain torrents and the river Isère.
Fishing permit compulsory.
OPENING OF THE 2011 FISHING SEASON : from March 10th, 2012 till October 7th, 2012 (mountain lakes : from June 3rd till September
30th, 2012).
GO FISHING IN ISÈRE AND PONTURIN RIVERS:
The catchment area of Ponturin, central river of the valley which throws itself into Isère, counts 6 tarns, regularly alvined and numerous small brooks, between 700 and 2700m of elevation.
The fishing is managed by the AAPPMA " La Gaule de l'Ormente "

Since last year, fishing license are available at the Tourist office of Peisey-Vallandry.
Carte départementale vacances, (Departmental fishing license"holidays"), including the valid fish tax, 7 consecutive days between June 01 st and December 31st. Renewable : € 30
Carte annuelle If you want to fish more than 15 days, you must buy a one-year fish license, (fish tax € 29, federal tax € 16 and a member card € 25,50 : € 70,50)
